Rules and Regulations
DRUGS & ALCOHOL POLICY
NaturalBuildingOrg strives to maintain a peaceful, productive and healthy environment. We have a zero-tolerance for illegal drug use or possession on the Cob Hill Retreat property. Moderate consumption of alcohol is permissible after workshop hours by adults over the age of 21 years old. No alcohol is to be consumed prior or during class time or during workshop hours. Loud, lewd, or drunken behavior will not be tolerated at any time and will result in immediate removal from the property with no refund.
RESPECT AND BEHAVIOR POLICY
We pride ourselves on being a safe, respectful, fun, and non-discriminatory environment. We welcome students and participants of all backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, religions, and walks of life. We expect all our students and participants to treat each other with the utmost respect and common courtesy. Bullying or harassment of any students, staff members, or persons here at Cob Hill Retreat will not be tolerated and could result in immediate removal from the property with no refund.
CHILDREN
While Cob Hill boasts some great programs for all ages, not all workshops are suitable for children. Please read the workshop description carefully to see if children are allowed for a particular offering. During family-friendly events or camping reservations all children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible teacher/chaperone at least 18 years of age. No minor children can wander the property with out a parent or guardian by their side nor can they be visible from the build site during adult workshops. Refusal to comply with this policy will result in being asked to leave the property without a refund.
PETS
We are unable to accommodate pets on the property during workshops; however, there is a boarding facility next to the veterinary clinic within 30 minutes of Cob Hill if you are unable to leave your pets at home with a trusted caretaker.
GUESTS
We are unable to accommodate guests during workshops. We recommend they camp at Daingerfield State Park or a nearby ABnB if they would like to see the build site at drop off/pick up.
CAMPFIRES
Unauthorized fires are not permitted. While workshops sometimes include supervised bonfires for groups, individual campers may not burn unapproved fires of any size. Campfire requests MUST be pre-approved by the Campground Manager in designated locations.
HUNTING & FISHING
There is no hunting allowed on the property. Please leave firearms at home. Fishing is on an as permitted basis and is catch and release.
