Cob for Vets

As the wife of a disabled veteran i have seen first hand the struggles of trying to make it on a military disability check. Here in Texas they have an awesome program for Veterans looking to buy property without a home on it. The downside is that after they do add a home, it adds an additional payment to there budget that can't always be afforded. Unfortunately this has caused a high number of foreclosures for the Veterans Land Board participants. With the advantage of no mortgage this gives our Veterans a fighting chance to have a place of their own to be proud of, especially if they were able to help build it with their own two hands! In natural building there is almost always some aspect of it that can be done, no matter what the disability, even if it is just in the design itself. Having pride in building your own home is a great antidote for depression and PTSD!
